Dr. Andrea Pitts is a professor of Philosophy, Latin American Studies, and Women's and Gender Studies at University of North Carolina, Charlotte. They will be presenting and leading a discussion on Holy Motors, a 2012 French-German fantasy film that follows a few hours in the life of Monsieur Oscar, a shadowy figure who travels from one life to the next. The screening will take place on Thursday, March 29th at 5:00pm in Winningham Lounge.
Dr. Elisabeth Paquette is a professor of Philosophy, Women's and Gender Studies, Africana Studies, and the Center for Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights studies at University of North Carolina, Charlotte. She will be presenting and leading a discussion on Rhymes for Young Ghouls, a 2014 film about a teenage aboriginal who is forcibly sent to an Indiana Residential School and seeks revenge on a sadistic administrator. The discussion will take place on Thursday, April 12th at 5:00 pm in Winningham 107.
