Part-time Instructor
Winningham 103B

I am a recent graduate of our own MA program in Ethics and Applied Philosophy.  My thesis title was "Dying the 'Bad' Death:  What Foucault's Concepts of Discourse and Power Say About Death in the US Today."  I also have a MA in Teaching Best Practices from Wingate University.  I also serve as an instructor in the Sociology Department.

I am interested in 'democratizing' philosophy and sharing its relevance to the issues and struggles of modern and daily life, because I believe the field of philosophy is particularly equipped to explain and engage the problems and conundrums of the particularly American culture and lifestyle.  I am also an active PETA member and I support causes that illuminate issues of animal cruelty to average citizens.
